Château de Tautal Bas
Château de Tautal Bas has been constructed at the beginning of the 18th century by le Marquis de Vayssieres. From the château, situated at almost 1000 meter altitude, you have a spectaculair view, amongst others at the Lake de Menet. On warm summer evenings enjoy the lovely temperature, at wintertime enjoy the fabulous "wintersportzon". The château is surrounded by its private domaine of 42 acres. Stroll around at the hills, row the little peddlingboat at the (private) Lake de Tautal. The "Domaine de Tautal Bas" is covered with a great variety of trees (amongst which oaktreas) and pastures. It has five sources. Two rivers form the borders of the estate and several lawns cross the area. Join the birds of prey, owls, dear, and swine.
The estate is situated in the middle of the Parc Volcan d'Auvergne, the second largest regional park of France and definitely one of the most beautiful parks of France, as you will soon discover yourself. The Parc is situated between the Ardèche, the Corrèze and the Dordogne.
Your stay
At the estate we have two exclusive cottages for rent. To fully enjoy the quietness of nature and the atmosphere of "la campagne" in the surrounding. Or have a nice break at the swimming pool.
